Postcards from Mars
Series of hand-made watercolor illustrations
Postcards from Mars project started when I came to Lisbon in 2016 as a PhD student in Arts. Surrounded by people from so many countries I learned words that were unique, untranslatable yet so well describing different aspects of life. I decided to illustrate them with watercolors in a small postcard size – easy to take everywhere you go, even to Mars.
Each card was hand painted in postcard size: 148x105mm
Presentation of scanned illustrations:
After scanning the watercolors, I designed them into actual postcards, creating a box of 20. With a handmade cover from recycled paper.
